Rebecca Hayes

An aspiring 4-H agent, Rebecca has spent the past three summers interning with the University of Kentucky Extension Service in Bourbon County. She is preparing for her future, and she knows that her chosen career is another way for her to give back to her community, something she would encourage all students to do.

"Only a certain group on campus knows about the many ways you can give back," said the Georgetown, Kentucky, native. "I want to spread the word and help people understand what philanthropy is, how it impacts them and how it will help influence their future."

A member of Kappa Beta Gamma, she works with her sorority to benefit the Special Olympics, their national philanthropy. She also is active on the Student Philanthropy Board, helping to bring in speakers who can educate students about the ins and outs of philanthropy, the benefits of being a donors and how to engage more donors and alumni.
